Governed by the Health and Human Services and Related Agencies Appropriations Act passed by the US Congress, the District 2 Hospital Preparedness Planning Committee Inc was established in 2008 under the nationwide Hospital Preparedness Program. Our mission is to provide leadership and funding through grants and cooperative agreements to improve surge capacity and enhance community and hospital preparedness for public health emergencies.
